A very underrated topic for a strong and loud voice. Exercising the diaphragm! Here is a in depth tutorial on how to do this very powerful Diaphragm Exercise for immediate Vocal Stamina, Vocal Support and Breath Support. After the first time doing this you will already recognise a difference in volume and power. Just make sure you take it slow and sit down while doing this, in order to avoid dizziness and hyperventilation.
This a bit of a out of the ordinary tutorial. How to do the mouth trumpet. I had to upload this after it was requested by several students. Just have fun with it and it will work faster than you think. Careful with excessive airflow tho, this way you don’t make yourself horse.
On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the worst, not hearing yourself while singing, especially on stage, lays definitely at a level of 8 to 9! It takes great skill and a lot of practice to overcome, understand and implement what to do in these situations. IN THE SERIES: “ONE min SINGING TIPS!” #1: How to not get sore while singing. (How to not damage your voice) | As described here in this mini tutorial, we are facing an issue that most singers struggle with. Vocal damage and soreness after singing, rapping and public speaking OR in some cases even through regular conversational talking. The most important thing is to keep your vocal chords as tight together as you possibly can to let out as little airflow besides the note as possible. Besides the fact that there are certainly exercises to strengthen the muscle: vocal-chord, you can for now just go ahead and listen to yourself singing a strait note or melody and if you can hear a hissing sound besides the note, you most likely are damaging your vocal chords. Try to create a sound that feel to your inner ear almost as if it sounds ducky. A little imaginary trick is to imagine to having to yell at someone on the other side of the street to see you. Say a loud and firm “HEY!!!” in order to achieve this with strength and volume you have no other choice but to tighten the vocal chords to create a loud and clear HEY.
